Refund policy

At Happy Rascals, we want you to feel confident trying Boredom Buddy with your dog. That is why we offer a 30-Day Risk-Free Trial for customers in Australia and New Zealand, subject to the conditions below.

If Boredom Buddy is not the right fit for your dog, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery, provided the item meets our return conditions.

30-Day Risk-Free Trial

Try Boredom Buddy at home and see how your dog responds.

If it is not the right fit for your rascal, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind refund, returned items must be:

  • Clean
  • In like-new condition
  • Fit for re-sale
  • Free from excessive chewing damage, heavy wear, dirt, odour, or missing parts
  • Returned with original packaging where reasonably possible
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Because Boredom Buddy is a dog toy, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns for items that have been excessively chewed, damaged through use, heavily used, dirtied, or are no longer suitable for re-sale.

This does not apply to faulty items. If your item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect, or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, please contact us so we can resolve the issue.

Return Shipping

For change-of-mind returns under our 30-Day Risk-Free Trial, customers are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the item is packaged safely and protected from damage while being returned to us.

We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

This section does not apply where the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect, or where you are entitled to a remedy under applicable consumer laws.

How to Start a Return

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • The email address used at checkout
  • A brief reason for the return
  • Photos of the item so we can initially assess its condition

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item.

To help us process your return, please contact us before sending an item back. Items sent back without first requesting a return may take longer to process and may not be accepted for change-of-mind returns.

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order when it arrives.

Please include your order number and photos of the issue.

Once reviewed, we will work with you to resolve the issue in accordance with applicable consumer laws.

Non-Returnable Items

For change-of-mind returns, we cannot accept:

  • Items that have been excessively chewed, damaged through use, or heavily used
  • Items that are dirty, marked, odorous, or not fit for re-sale
  • Items with missing parts
  • Items returned outside the 30-day return period
  • Items sent back without an approved return request
  • Gift cards, if applicable

Faulty items may still be returnable even if they do not meet the change-of-mind return conditions above.

Consumer Law Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer laws, including Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

If your item is faulty, damaged on arrival, incorrect, or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy in accordance with the law.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund.

Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges.

The fastest way to replace an item is to return your original item first. Once your return is accepted, you can place a new order.
